Last Human Geo Class W/ Mr. Schick
Today was my last day of Human and Geo, and my last day as Mr. Schick's student. :( I also took the last test of the semester. It was a scantron, so Mr. Schick was able to grade it today and show us our grade before the class ended. I am going to miss blogs but I am ready for a change. I felt really good about the test! I really enjoyed this section- and I enjoyed watching the documentary. Last blog, bye!!!

Chapter Test Review
Today in class we went over some new material, as well as some info that would be on the test. One thing that I know will be soon on the test is a map - I will need to be able to label. Some new information that I learned is about all three leaders of North Korea.
- Kim-Il Sung ruled from 1948-1994
- was the prime minister 1948-1972
- President from 1972 until his death.
- Kim-Il Sung was viewed as a god.
- establishment of "cult of personality."
- the people are required to show extreme devotion to him.
- during early part of his rule, the state destroyed over 2,000 Buddhist temples and Christian churches.
2nd leader was Kim-Jong Il
- ruled 1994-2011
PRESENT LEADER
Kim-Jong Un born in 1983 and became Supreme Leader December 17, 2011 after death of his father.
- 32 years old : the worlds youngest head of state.

Today we finished the documentary on North Korea. In the portion of the video we watched today I learned about one of the concentration camps called 22. We also watched the Koreans that hadn't been able to see for as long as they could remember - thank there "Grand Leader" for giving them sight again, when it was really the great act of the eye doctor from Nepal. We also learned the sad and scary story of a North Korean that successfully escaped to South Korea. I really enjoyed this chapter - test will be Friday with a review tomorrow. Sorry for your loss of your dog Mr. Schick.

Today in class, we continued watching the documentary about life in North Korea. Today, we learned that North Korean children are taught that Americans are afraid of them and that we are bad people. They also adore their leader. When the first century Kim Jong passed, The Koreans were (or were acting) completely devastated. In families homes, there were no family photos - only pictures of there "beloved" leader.

Today in class we took the test. I didn't do well. I studied very hard but I did not get a good grade. I asked Mr. Schick what a failing grade would do to an A but he didn't answer! I am very disappointed with myself. I should've been more prepared. I still can't stand the fact that I failed. I will try my best for the exam and the 2 weeks following.
