Chapter Test Review

Today in class we went over some new material, as well as some info that would be on the test. One thing that I know will be soon on the test is a map - I will need to be able to label. Some new information that I learned is about all three leaders of North Korea.

1. Kim-Il Sung ruled from 1948-1994

- was the prime minister 1948-1972

- President from 1972 until his death. 

- Kim-Il Sung was viewed as a god.

- establishment of "cult of personality." 

- the people are required to show extreme devotion to him. 

- during early part of his rule, the state destroyed over 2,000 Buddhist temples and Christian churches.

2nd leader was Kim-Jong Il

- ruled 1994-2011

PRESENT LEADER

Kim-Jong Un born in 1983 and became Supreme Leader December 17, 2011 after death of his father. 

- 32 years old : the worlds youngest head of state.
